5-12-12 @ Root Division

Later this Fall I will be teaching a class in caricature at Root Division. Enrollment is open to anyone in the Bay Area!
Here’s 2 sketches from the afternoon I spent there helping to celebrate their youth education art classes in the community.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice” – Mark Twain

I scratched out this quick sketch on Marriott stationary this morning before heading out for my flight back to SF. The quote is from the museum next to the home of Mark Twain. His wit and wisdom feels refreshing even now and I suspect for ages to come.

EventToons job in Hartford, drawing for Symantec

Another great job for Symantec, thanks to Doug Shannon and EventToons for sending me! Downloads at EventToons.com.

While in Harford I visited the beautiful home of Mark Twain and the Wadsworth, the country’s oldest art Museum.

nook app developers team poster

One of the cool things about working digitally is that I can group all the drawings together for a team poster, like I have done for nook!

HP expert forum avatars

Along with my colleague Doug Shannon, I have drawn over 200 avatars for HP’s expert help forums all over the globe in the past month! I look forward to more opportunities to draw for them. With the world connected as it is, I have new facebook (and even Draw Something!) friends from this group of work!

4-28-12 Jillian and Glen Sumodobila wedding

Jillian and Glen were married at a beautiful golf course in San Leandro. I came and drew for them, along with my colleague Zach Trenholm.

This has been a very busy and very fun week! Along with the different events I’ve worked since last Saturday, I finished a group of drawings for HP, and ended up drawing about 300 drawings this week!

4-26-12 San Leandro public library book club.

These kids from the San Leandro library book club sold book reviews to raise money for the library, then used part of the money to hire me to draw them. Was a fun job!

4-25-12 Drawing for the nook app development team

Barnes and Noble’s nook tablet has a great team of app developers, who celebrated a successful first year by throwing a party in Palo Alto. I came and drew everyone who showed up from the team!
